SUSTAINABILITY

  • All our used paper, cardboard and any glass or plastic is collected for re-cycling.
  • We have switched from paper catalogues to online only
  • Plastic bags and cardboard boxes sent to us with deliveries are re-used wherever possible
  • Where shirts need to be supplied in plastic bags we keep these to a minimum and recycled plastic is used.

TRANSPORT

  • Staff are encouraged to cycle or use public transport to get to work (Currently 90% do so).
  • As we are based in the city centre many of our customers choose to collect smaller orders from us either on foot or bicycle.
  • We offer local delivery via cycle courier
  • We buy supplies locally and collect in person wherever possible saving on unnecessary deliveries
  • Our main suppliers use electric delivery vehicles for the last stage wherever possible

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • All permanent staff are paid above the National Living Wage. Some temporary workers (usually students working over the summer) are paid a little below this.
  • We work hard to create a supportive and positive environment within the workplace
  • We offer flexible working to fit in around our employees’ other commitments.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

We regularly donate vouchers to local charities asking for raffle prizes

  • We also offer discounts for charities and individuals fundraising for them.
  • End of lines are donated to local charity shops for re-sale

CONTINOUS IMPROVEMENT

We are committed to continuous growth and improvement in our ethical practices. We review our policies and practices regularly, aiming to improve our impact on society and the environment. Feedback from customers, employees, and suppliers is welcomed to help refine and enhance our ethical standards.
